Help Your Students Retain Math Skills
You can help students keep their math skills sharp by encouraging families to join the Quantile® Summer Math Challenge, a free program designed for students who have just completed any grade 1-8. This fun, six-week program is full of daily activities that are designed to help prevent summer learning loss. The typical student loses approximately 2.6 months of grade-level equivalency in math skills over the summer months each year.*
The Summer Math Challenge begins on the third Monday of June. Students can practice math skills aligned to their grade and ability level. Resources are from the most trusted content developers like Khan Academy, ABCya, IXL Learning and more.
How It Works
Educators and parents can register students at hub.lexile.com/smc. Then students can access math learning activities on weekly topics that are aligned with state math standards, celebrate with weekly badges and print a certificate recognizing their accomplishment upon program completion.
